Yorkshire Trip One

Well this will be odd – several days will appear all on one day – well can’t be helped;

Here is my first time playing with the camera and my equipment – the results are mixed, but I got some really decent ones of the trees!

Taken With:
Cannon EOS 400D
Cannon 18-55mm lens
Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro lens
For settings save pic to pc and review properties

Two photos of the same tree, taken through window glass (it was cold and we were, at the time, eating lunch!). That said the effect of the glass on the rapidly vanishing mist and the sun overhead added together to make a wonderfull colour. However as both show I had to learn to try and get all in the shot – and not just snap away

Another decent shot in this light – this time though of the short grasses – though this lacks a defined image to grasp instant attention, I like the overall effect.

Second day (but still behind the glass during lunch!) and the results are different. The lighting has changed and I am focusing on the distance – using the full length of my sigma lens.

different scene, still behind the window glass – not much to say here

behind the glass again – and this time with denser mist as well. I really like the effect of the mist in this one – gives is a more spooky impression

A total fluke taken between window panes, but the out of focus white panes add a nice and unexpected boarder to this pic.
